helping your gently-used clothing find a new home.

just cleaned out your closet?

what no longer fits your life might be exactly what a high schooler has been looking for.

What’s Mine Is Yours is a nonprofit that provides high school students with free donated clothing. Sometimes local thrift shops can be overpriced and we hope to change that. By making our clothes free, it gives students the opportunity to express their style on no budget.

Each year, Americans dispose of 11.3 million tons of textile waste in U.S. landfills instead of repurposing the clothing. Here at What's Mine Is Yours, we help unwanted clothing go to better homes.

What once began as a small club at a single high school has grown with the ambition to reach more schools and communities. Now, our goal is to bring What’s Mine Is Yours to high schools across the United States. We strive to establish a community that focuses on waste reduction and shifts perceptions about accepting charitable support.

That's why WMIY advocates for thrifting to be accessible to everyone.
